Top 2 Reasons For Failure In Leadership

There are 2 top reasons for failure in leadership as exampled in Napoleon Hill's Book titled "Think and Grow Rich." The first reason is an inability to organize details and the second reason is an unwillingness to render humble service.
When you are thinking about a leader you like to think about the positives of the leader, the things that make the leader great. However, as you get closer to the leader and start to actually "follow" the leader this is when the weaknesses come out. Every leader has a weakness because no person is perfect. By design we are imperfect.
However, what we are looking at today is not imperfection but rather reasons why there would be a failure in leadership.

Let's take the inability to organize details for example. An effective leader is a leader who can organize details; a good leader is never "too busy" and can find and make time for their followers. A leader is able to find time to do the things that are required of him/her to do.
We as a society have such high expectations of our leadership because we want to achieve more for ourselves so when you are considering becoming a leader you have to understand the common pitfalls in order to avoid them.
If you find yourself making excuses all the time about why you cannot do something or why you don't have time, you have to realize that the limits you are placing on yourself as a person you are placing on yourself as a potential leader.
What many people misunderstand is that you don't have to do all the work yourself; you can delegate the responsibilities to those who are capable of completing the task. This is an integral part of organization and having an ability to organize details.
When you look at the second cause of failure in leadership you look at an unwillingness to render humble service.
Put plainly what this means is that a great leader is always willing to do what they have asked of others. A great leader knows the value of becoming a servant.
Take your office for example, if your boss is willing to work late with you to get the project done, how would you feel towards him? Would you appreciate that he too was making the sacrifice the same as you? If so, you have already started to see the value in having a humble spirit and the value of rending humble service.
Make a choice to be a humble servant when called for and you will have loyal followers.
